For a joint research symposium
A delegation from the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN), led by Profs. Roberto Bruzzone and Malik Peiris, co-directors of the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole, has been welcomed at the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease (SKLRD) in the campus of the Guangzhou Medical University for a joint research symposium.
After a site visit to the laboratory building and a warm welcome address from Prof. Nanshan Zhong, leader of the SKLRD, Prof. Bruzzone introduced the IPIN and HKU-Pasteur’s work to the audience to start the day.
Prof. James Di Santo, Director of Innate Immunity Unit at Institut Pasteur Paris, Visiting Research Professor at HKU-Pasteur Research Pole, was invited to give a talk on Generating Diverse Human Innate Lymphoid Cells, followed by the young scientists from the Pasteur network: Dr. Yan Li, Dr. Iolanthe Lan and Dr. MingYuan Li who also shared their updated research findings with the audiences.
Finally, participants had the chance to visit the clinical departments of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.
