HKU-Pasteur's Co-Director Eric Deharo visited the impressive Hong Kong Biodiversity Museum, Hong Kong’s first museum dedicated exclusively to biodiversity, established and led by Director Benoit Guénard, Associate Professor, School of Biological Sciences (HKU).
The museum is currently managed by a team of experts from the School of Biological Sciences at The University of Hong Kong, with support from various scientists and partners.

Among these partners is Tommy Lam, a member of the HKU Pasteur Research Pole and the Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i).
Their collaborative efforts have significantly advanced the understanding and management of mosquito species in Hong Kong (Han et al., 2024; Chong et al., 2023).
These studies highlight the crucial role of molecular tools in entomological research and invasive species control, reflecting the team’s dedication to scientific progress and practical solutions for vector management.

The collaboration with Benoit Guénard is set to expand into the field of ant research, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to global health challenges.
The HKU-PRP team looks forward to developing new collaborations with him and his team in our shared mission to support biodiversity.
