Ms Isabelle DUTRY has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Hong Kong for her work entitled "Susceptibility of human macrophages to influenza A infection" on November 7, 2012. The PhD examining board congratulated her for her nice presentation and outstanding achievements.
Isabelle joined the Centre and started her PhD project on influenza virus in May 2007 in the Viral Infection & Immunity team. She performed her PhD research work at the Centre, under the supervision of Dr Martial JAUME and Professor Malik PEIRIS. She also attended the 3rd HKU-Pasteur Virology Course in 2006 and the 1st HKU-Pasteur Immunology Course in 2008 was awarded a Certificate of Merit for the best poster presentation in “Infection & Immunology” theme during the 15th RPS in 2010. Isabelle has published two scientific articles (Lee et al. 2012, Jaume et al. 2011) and will stay at the Centre of Influenza Research until February 2013.
