UGC Area of Excellence Scheme on Control of Pandemic and Inter-Pandemic Influenza presents a one day Symposium entitled "Should we target the virus, the cell, or both? Vaccine development and systems biology" on 3rd of June, 2010.
Event Details The objective of this meeting is to present different strategies to fight virus infections. Vaccine strategies (and potential adverse effects) will be illustrated in the morning session. The afternoon will focus more on Cellular Microbiology and large scale Systems Biology approaches to find new cellular and viral targets (Y2H, Proteomics, Genomics, drug screening). Talks will be given by overseas experts in the field and local scientists. All students and staff are encouraged to participate.
