We are soliciting applications for the 6th HKU-PASTEUR IMMUNOLOGY COURSE (November 17-29, 2013).
The course will focus on innate immunity and inflammation, two areas of research that are being explored with a novel array of techniques and approaches to understand their role in both organism homeostasis and as potential areas of therapeutic interventions. The course will emphasize an integrated approach to combat infectious diseases by presenting an in-depth review of the repertoire of effector cells, such as mast cells, natural killer cells, dendritic cells, neutrophils and macrophages, and of the signaling mechanisms involved in their response to any types of insults (infectious or sterile).
