The course will emphasize an integrated approach to combat infectious diseases by presenting an in-depth review of the repertoire of effector cells, such as mast cells, natural killer cells, dendritic cells, neutrophils and macrophages, and of the signaling mechanisms involved in their response to any types of insults (infectious or sterile).
