THANK YOU FOR YOUR APPLICATIONS!
We are soliciting applications for the 5th HKU-PASTEUR IMMUNOLOGY COURSE (November 18-30, 2012). The major theme of the course will be adaptive immune responses which are highly specific and make use of very efficient mechanisms of somatic diversification to generate virtually unlimited repertoires of structurally diverse antigen receptors. The course will address key features of the design principles of adaptive immune systems in vertebrates, including clonal selection of lymphocytes, antigen recognition by B- and T-cell receptors, antigen presentation and MHC molecules, antibody class switching, effector functions of T- and B-cells, the genetics and signaling of immune responses. Practical sessions will complete the course.
