43rd Council of Directors of the Institut Pasteur International Network, November 25, 2010

The 43rd Council of Directors of the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN) held in Hong Kong agreed the following:

  • The creation of an Association within the Institut Pasteur International Network. This non-profit Association (Loi 1901) will help the IPIN in its fundings search and projects management.

  • The Executive Bureau accepted the IPIN common budget to fund 14 new international courses in 2011 and awarded 5 fellowships.

  • The balance 2010 of the IPIN common budget was approved and new modalities of contribution to the common budget for 2011 were adopted.

  • Three Regional Meetings will be organized in 2011 in Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe regions.

  • Dr Altmeyer, Director of Institut Pasteur Shanghai - CAS was elected new representative of the Asia-Pacific region for 2011-2013.

  • Six new institutes were elected to sit in the Institut Pasteur's General Assembly: Institut Pasteur in Bangui, Cambodia, French Guyana, Guadeloupe, Iran and Ivory Coast.


The 44th Council of Directors will take place in Paris in Autumn 2011. The next Councils were foreseen to take place at the Institut Pasteur in Madagascar in 2012 and at the Institut Pasteur in Tunis in 2013.
