The 17th Research Postgraduate Symposium (RPS) was held on December 12 & 13, 2012 at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong. Introduced in 1996, the RPS provides a platform for research postgraduate students to present and share their exciting ideas and progress in research.
This year, 2 students from HKU-Pasteur Research Pole delivered poster presentations of their research work.
"Role of Influenza Hemagglutinin Glycoproteins and Induction of Effective Immune Response through C-Type Lectin Receptors in Macrophages", TENG Ooiean, PhD Candidate, School of Public Health
"Molecular Dissection of Dengue Virus Egress: Involvement of Host Cellular Factor-KDEL Receptor", LI Mingyuan, PhD Candidate, School of Public Health
Two candidates who presented the best poster in each theme were awarded a Certificate of Merit, and one presenter with the best performance in each of the oral presentation sessions were invited to present again at the Plenary Session, during which a panel of adjudicators selected one presenter for the Best Presentation Award. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners-up were also awarded a prize and a trophy.
