MUCOSAL IMMUNITY AND VACCINES
The major theme of the 7th HKU – Pasteur Immunology Course will be mucosal immunity and vaccines. It has become clear that understanding the complex interactions between
pathogens and the host’s defense that take place the mucosal surfaces of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urogenital tracts is a crucial step forward to develop effective mucosal vaccines
as additional components of our defensive arsenal against pathogens. The 2014 edition will be run in collaboration with the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul.

Accommodation (on sharing twin basis) and food (canteen-style) will be provided.
The HKU-Pasteur Immunology course (MMPH6174) is included in the coursework curriculum for research postgraduate studies of the University of Hong Kong.
