Wrapping Up the 20th Anniversary in Style!

Many thanks to all the participants of our Know Thy Microbes workshop, marking the end of HKU-Pasteur's 20th Anniversary celebrations!
 
The event was a real success with captivating keynote lectures from Professor Philippe Sansonetti and Professor Annelies Wilder-Smith, and our local and oversea speakers and panelists.
 
Once again, we wish to thank all our partners helping us during this hectic year to provide a remarkable program, with many seminars and workshops with the Centre for Immunology & Infection, a touring exhibition, events with the French International School and HKSTP, film screening with Asia Society and much more.

”20 Years Fighting Emerging Infectious Diseases”: The Exhibition Now At HKUMed!

After touring in Science Park and the University of Hong Kong Centennial Campus, the HKU-Pasteur exhibition 20 Years Fighting Emerging Infectious Diseases is now presented from 4 to 29 October 2021 on the Faculty of Medicine campus at the William M.W. Mong Block's foyer outside the lecture halls.
 
 
 
Visitors will go through the unique genesis of the laboratory, before learning more about its parents institutions, the Institut Pasteur in Paris and the University of Hong Kong, and the colossal history that let to this partnership.
 
In the following panels visitors are invited to dive in the exciting life of Louis Pasteur, the French scientist at the origin of the Institut Pasteur, as well as in the crucial discovery of one of its pupils, Alexandre Yersin.
 
The exhibition continues with an in-depth description of the research conducted at HKU-Pasteur, dealing with pressing challenges such as COVID-19, and the international courses that made it a major training centre in biomedical research.
